A Wing Nut enables easy tightening and removal by hand. Use wingnuts to secure an access panel,
marine hardware or in other situations where handling a wrench is inconvenient. Use a zinc-plated
stainless steel wing nut for exterior applications since their extra surface area makes them vulnerable
to corrosion.
Metric DIN 315 Wing Nuts / Butterfly Nuts of the German Type have two rounded wing like projections.
This unique design makes it possible to use your thumb and forefinger to turn and tighten the nut rather
than a having to use a wrench or other tool thus ensuring easy rapid assembly and disassembly using
only fingers. DIN 315 wing nuts can be used for many applications where quick hand tensioning
and clamping is required. QBH company offers the following sizes for immediate delivery from stock:
Diameters ranging from M4 to M24 in steel and stainless steel A2 and A4.
Stainless steel(SS304/SS316)
Made from 316 stainless steel, these wing nuts have excellent chemical resistance and can be used in saltwater
environments. The wings provide more leverage for greater torque while tightening than knurled-head thumb nuts.
Carbon steel
Wings provide more leverage for greater torque while tightening than knurled-head thumb nuts. Zinc-plated wing nuts
are corrosion resistant in wet environment.
Brass
These wing nuts are corrosion resistant in wet environments, electrically conductive, and nonmagnetic.
