Sleeve anchors are mechanical fasteners designed for securing objects to concrete, brick, or block. They consist of a threaded bolt, an expander sleeve, and a nut and washer. When tightened, the sleeve expands, creating a strong, vibration-resistant hold.
High Load Capacity – Supports heavy-duty applications in construction and industrial settings.
Easy Installation – Requires only a drilled hole and a wrench for secure fastening.
Versatile Use – Suitable for solid concrete, hollow block, and brick.
Corrosion-Resistant Options – Available in galvanized steel, stainless steel, and zinc-plated finishes.
Material | Finish | Corrosion Resistance | Best For |
---|---|---|---|
Carbon Steel | Zinc-Plated | Moderate | Indoor, Dry Environments |
Stainless Steel | 304 or 316 Grade | High | Outdoor, Marine, Chemical |
Hot-Dipped Galvanized | Galvanized Coating | High | High-Humidity & Industrial |
Diameter (Inch) | Minimum Embedment (Inch) | Pull-Out Strength (lbs) | Shear Strength (lbs) |
---|---|---|---|
1/4" | 1" | 700 – 1,000 | 500 – 800 |
3/8" | 1-1/2" | 1,500 – 2,200 | 1,200 – 1,800 |
1/2" | 2" | 3,000 – 4,500 | 2,500 – 3,500 |
The hole depth should be at least 1/2" deeper than the anchor’s embedment length to allow for dust clearance. For example, if using a 3/8" anchor with a 1-1/2" embedment, drill a 2" deep hole.
No, sleeve anchors are designed for solid concrete only. For cracked or unstable masonry, use wedge anchors or epoxy anchors for better stability.
Sleeve Anchor: Expands along its length, ideal for medium-duty loads in solid concrete or brick.
Wedge Anchor: Expands at the bottom, providing higher pull-out strength for heavy-duty applications.
Zheli's sleeve anchors are manufactured to meet ASTM and ISO standards, ensuring durability and performance in demanding conditions. Whether for construction, HVAC, or machinery installations, we provide high-quality, reliable anchoring solutions.
